The Converse All Star was created in 1915 by the “Converse Rubber Shoe Company” which was specialized in the manufacture of rubber hooves carried in particular by the prisoners of the American penitentiary centers. In 1921, Converse called on the Chuck Taylor basketball player to promote its new model in American universities.
