A brief history of the creator of Adidas
The founder of Adidas gave his name to his company. Indeed, Adidas comes from Adolf "Adi" and Dassler "Das." It was after the war that Adolf Dassler created the Adidas brand. He was the brother of Rudolf Dassler, who would later create the Puma brand. The founder of Adidas was the first inventor to use major sporting events to promote his new products to the public. Throughout his career, he developed a specific sneaker for almost every sport with the aim of improving athletic performance. He is notably responsible for the creation of running shoes equipped with spikes, reinforced and studded shoes… While he created the Adidas brand in 1948, Adolf Dassler had been making shoes for much longer and even shared a business with his brother in its early days.
