The Converse All Star was born in 1915 from the “Converse Rubber Shoe Company” that we know today under the name of “Converse”. At the time, the company specialized in the manufacture of rubber hooves carried among others by prisoners of American prisons. In order to make known, its model in American universities, Converse called in 1921 to the basketball player Chuck Taylor.
